Prosper Appalachia Seeks Service Corp & Next Generation Programs Director for Youth Serving Organization in Eastern Kentucky

Prosper Appalachia, a partnership led by Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP), Inc., is seeking to hire a Service Corp & Next Generation Programs Director to help lead an innovative organization focused on the educational and career success of 16- to 24-year-olds in Appalachia Kentucky. Founding partners of Prosper Appalachia include EKCEP, Partners for Education at Berea College, Fahe, Save the Children KY, and the Brushy Fork Leadership Institute.

The Service Corp & Next Generation Programs Director will provide direct support and oversight to Prosper Appalachia’s target audience and member base of 16- to 24-year-olds in Appalachia Kentucky. Key to this work is a collaborative effort within the organization that takes a place-based, comprehensive, no-wrong-door approach to ensure youth are provided a pathway to success and economic mobility. The organization will use a collective impact approach to secure investments in youth, braid public and private funding, align multi-sector partners to work toward shared outcomes, and identify and dismantle systemic barriers that impede the progress of youth.

The Service Corp & Next Generation Programs Director will work closely with the Founding Director and Director of Operations to establish a structured organizational framework that ensures sustainable success of the organization and programs in collaboration with partners, employers, community action agencies, public K-12 schools, local colleges and universities, and community partners to develop a coordinated entry point for any youth in Eastern Kentucky seeking a pathway to a career. Core to the organization’s work will be developing a structure that ensures that the founding partners, youth, and employers are engaged in the organization’s governance and leadership structure.

The successful candidate for the Service Corp & Next Generation Programs Director position will be a dynamic and collaborative leader in the region with proven success running successful programs and initiatives. They will also have deeply established networks in the region with a strong understanding of various communities’ assets and challenges.
