EKCEP, Kentucky Career Center JobSight hosting multi-employer job fairs throughout October

Jobseekers in Eastern Kentucky will have an opportunity to apply for a number of open jobs with a series of job fairs in October aimed at connecting individuals looking for work with hiring employers in their areas.

Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP), Inc. and Kentucky Career Center JobSight will host the events, the first of which kicked off Oct. 6 in Olive Hill. A second job fair will be held at the EKU Manchester campus Oct. 7, with subsequent events scheduled throughout October.

A number of hiring employers are scheduled to participate, representing a variety of industries ranging from healthcare and manufacturing to transportation and retail.

Job fairs are schedule in Eastern Kentucky during the following dates:

  • October 7, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: EKU Manchester Campus, 50 University Drive

  • October 12, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Pike County Public Library, 126 Lee Avenue, Pikeville, Ky.

  • October 19, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Gateway Community Action/Morgan County Library, 151 University Drive, West Liberty, Ky.

  • October 21, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Middlesboro Mall, 905 West 12th Street, Middlesboro, Ky.

  • October 26, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: The Harlan Center, 201 South Main Street, Harlan, Ky.

  • October 27, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Knott County Sportsplex, 450 Kenny Champion Loop, Leburn, Ky.

  • October 28, 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Natural Bridge State Park, 2135 Natural Bridge Road, Slade, Ky.

KCC JobSight staff will also be on hand for each event with information about career and employment services through local JobSight locations within the 23-county service area. For more information about career services, visit jobsight.org.
