Holland Selected to Chair EKCEP Board of Directors; Brock to Serve as Vice Chair

The Board of Directors for Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. (EKCEP) selected Gilbert Holland to serve a term as the board’s chair during its regular meeting in September, while also electing Albey Brock to serve as vice chair.

Holland, who also serves as County Attorney for Knox County, is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, and has been a practicing attorney since 1997. He has been a member of the EKCEP Board of Directors since 2019. 

Selected to serve as the board’s vice chair, Albey Brock is the judge-executive for Bell County and has also been a member of the board since 2019. 

“The EKCEP Board of Directors serves a vital function in our workforce development system, from providing budgetary oversight to strategic planning and appointing members of our Workforce Innovation Board,” said EKCEP Executive Director Rebecca Carnes-Miller. “I look forward to working with Mr. Holland, Judge Brock, and the remainder of the board to ensure that Eastern Kentucky’s workforce is prepared to meet the challenges of our economy both today and well into the future.”
